Decent little machine
I bought this machine to replace my French press/bodum, and overall, I am satisfied enough to put away my bodum in the cupboard. Observations: the maximum amount of coffee I would be comfortable using per brew cycle would be 4 tablespoons per brew cycle, though you might be able to push it to 5 or 6, but that would be the absolute maximum for sure (with that said, I personally use 2 tablespoons per 400 ml, or so, of water). It comes with a removeable/washable filter, but you might be able to get away with a small #2 filter … I tried, and it worked, but I had to do a little bit of paper folding. It is a 700w machine and brewed my 400ml of water in 3 minutes and 40 seconds, and coffee tastes good … maybe not as great as my French press/bodum, but good enough that I have put my bodum back in the cupboard. Final brew temperature was good enough for me as well. I wish it had a drip tray. It will accommodate a 7 inch mug and approximately 12 oz of water in the holding tank (perhaps a wee bit more?). Its a light-weight machine, but looks nice on the counter. It's not intrusive, which I like.

My husband loves coffee made with fresh ground beans and adjust the amounts depending on the type of coffee he is using . This is great he can grind his beans adjust his measurement and make one perfect cup (provided) at a time. Because it's only one cup at a time he can also experiment without wasting a whole pot.
