Great fun!

Guests always love this, almost everyone has bought stones after coming over for dinner. For a steak dinner, we find that each person needs 2 stones (one they're using and the other still in the over). Steaks should be seared first anyhow, as an uncooked piece will cool down the stone too much.

Perfect steak every time.

Works really well. Steak was perfect. Only wish the stone was a tiny bit bigger to accommodate larger cuts.

Good. Not great.

Bought 8 of these, tried them when we were a total of 6 for a steak dinner. Took our 1" steaks out an hour beforehand...wasn't long enough. Will take them out for 2hrs next time, or sear them first. If you put a cold-ish steak on them, it will lower the temperature of the stones very quickly and the best you will get is a steak cooked blue to rare at best. Glad we had the 2 extra stones, as we rotated those in and guests could finish searing. The stones are quite small, a little thin, thus they can only hold so much heat. But boy, these were a big hit --- some guests will now buy them! Great entertainment really!
